I once read the following:
“Prayer is when you talk to God; mediation is when you listen to God.”

I once read the following:
“Prayer is when you talk to God; mediation is when you listen to God.”
Welcome to part 2 of our series “Building a Relationship With God.”
In part I, I spoke about three main elements that we need to develop in order to build a relationship with God: talking to God, hearing God talk to us, and learning God’s word.
One of the wonderful things about The Whisper of God community is the fact that we can share with each other our relationship with God.
The Whisper of God FaceBook community is a very active community (the FaceBook page can be found here). It is heartwarming to see questions being posed by some and answered by others. It is awesome to be part of a group of like minded people asking for prayers and praying for and supporting each other. We learn and grow through each others experiences.
Isn’t it funny how there are certain times of your life, even from a very young age, that the memory of those times seem to stick with you. Not only do they stick with you, they are associated with feelings that you can still feel as if it were yesterday.
I am sure we all have many of them.
I can’t think of too many people who would say that life is a piece of cake.
Even those who seem to have it all, who are happy, and who are spiritually grounded would tell you that life is not always easy; if someone were to tell you that their life was easy, I would consider the possibility that this person was not telling you the whole truth.
